INDIANA LEAGUE’S SERVICECORP AND INNOVATIVE CARD SERVICES EXTEND PARTNERSHIP ON PREPAID CARDS
Indianapolis, IN (March 29, 2012) -- Credit Union Card Center (CUCC), a subsidiary of the Indiana Credit Union League’s Servicecorp, has selected Innovative Card Services (ICS) to offer its clients, and potential clients, Visa® Gift, Travel Money and General Purpose Reloadable Cards. CUCC already works with ICS to offer the Visa® Payroll Card. Through this agreement, CUCC will add Gift, Travel Money, and General Purpose cards as prepaid solutions to its already robust platform of programs.
“The popularity of prepaid and reloadable cards continues to grow, and more consumers are looking to their credit unions to purchase the cards,” said Servicecorp COO Diana Arnold, who oversees CUCC. “This partnership between Servicecorp and ICS will offer consumers the ease of purchasing cards at their credit union and it allows credit unions to take advantage of the networking power of Servicecorp to obtain the cards affordably, expeditiously and conveniently.”

Currently it is estimated that over 26 percent of the households in the U.S. are considered “unbanked” or “under-banked” and on average, those consumers pay eight percent of their annual income in fees due to their lack of banking relationships. Prepaid cards can provide these families a money saving way to transition into the mainstream and cultivate solid relationships with the credit unions where they live and work.
